Fugosantel
COMPOSITION:
Closantel 5 gm
Excipient 100 ml
PROPERTIES:
Closantel is an
internal anthelmintic, Inhabits the oxidative phosphorylation of the
parasite. Its absorption orally and intramuscular is very fast. Acts
against subcutaneous larvae ofHipoderma spp and Oestrus ovis, adult
forms and larvae and larvae of Fascioloa hepatica and against Blood
ingesting nematodes as Heamonchus contortus, Haemonchus placei,
Bunostomum phlebotomu, Oesophagostdmum radiatum and Chabertia ovis.
INDICATIONS:
Hepatic
distomatosis (prevention and treatment), oestrosis in larvae phase,
hypodermosis in subcutaneous phase and blood - ingesting nematodes.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: None reported
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Administer in one
dose, subcutaneous or intramuscular in cattle, and Subcutaneous in
sheep. Cattle: Distomatosis and gastointestinal nerma - todosis: 0.5
ml/10 kg b.w. Hypodermosis: 1 ml /10 kg b.w.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Infrequently,
severe inflammation on the injection point can appear. However, this
disappears spontaneously in 2 or 3 days after application.
